Bournemouth finally complete club-record transfer

Bournemouth have completed the signing of Jordan Ibe from Liverpool, according to the Guardian.

The Cherries have paid a club-record fee of £15million for the former Wycombe Wanderers youngster, with Ibe agreeing to a 4-year-deal. Eddie Howe’s side are currently in America on their pre-season tour, and Ibe will now fly over to the United States to join his new squad.

Ibe’s Liverpool future was in doubt when Jurgen Klopp signed Sadio Mane from Southampton this summer, and despite being just 20-years of age, Ibe has been deemed surplus to requirements by the German manager.

Howe has filled the gap left by Matt Richie, who has joined Championship club Newcastle, with Ibe able to operate on either flank.

Ibe scored just one goal from 27 league appearances with Liverpool last season, although he did manage to net once in the UEFA Europa League, as the Reds reached the final only to lose to Spanish side Sevilla.

His first Premier League game with the Cherries could be against Manchester United on August 14th.
