Eddie Howe is keen to bring both Nedum Onuoha and Steven Caulker to the Premier League from QPR.
Caulker rejected the chance to play for Bournemouth last summer, moving to Southampton instead on loan. But low playing time their led to a loan move to Liverpool, with a similar result.
However, the London club are keen to offload Caulker from their wage book, with the 24-year-old currently earning £40,000-a-week at Loftus Road.
Onuoha was made QPR captain last season, and played a strong part in their push for promotion back to the Premier League that eventually fell short. The pair could move in a joint fee of £15million.
The Cherries are low one defenders, with both Sylvain Distin and Tommy Elphick leaving the club this summer, although Howe has added Nathan Ake along with a host of summer transfers.
But the English manager doesn’t appear finished, and is keen to solve a deal for the pair before their opening league game against Manchester United on August 14th.
