Hulk was a prolific goalscorer under AVB when at Porto notching 36 goals in 51 games before his big money move to Russia.
The Brazilian has not found it easy to adapt to life at Zenit, but a recent run of goals has seen the Russians take to their record signing who failed to impress his team mates at first due to the wage difference.
Spurs would have to spend big once again to get their man but AVB may pull out all the stops to bring the forward to White Hart Lane this January with the World Cup just six months away.
‘I learned a lot with Andre Villas-Boas at Porto,’ Hulk told in twentyfour7 magazine.
‘He is very intelligent tactically. He was almost so well informed about the opponents that we pretty much knew everything about them when we went out on to the pitch.
‘It was scary how much we knew.
‘I am really happy Villas-Boas is making a mark in England, and it would be fantastic to play under him again one day.”
