Shakhtar Donetsk star Alex Teixeira has revealed that Chelsea are one of three clubs to have made an approach for him.
The versatile attacker has had a scintillating start to the new season, scoring 19 goals so far domestically for the Ukrainian powerhouses.
Teixeira continues in a long line of Brazilian players to play for Shakhtar, with one of the side’s alumni Chelsea’s current attacking star Willian.
The playmaker has revealed that the reigning Premier League champions have made an approach for him, as have Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, but he would not be available to move until the summer.
“I’m glad to have received that proposal from Chelsea, they’re a great club in Europe,” The Mirror quote Teixeira as saying.
“What I’ve seen, and what my manager has said, is that Chelsea, Juventus and PSG made offers. But Chelsea and Juventus are deeper into negotiations.
“They’re three big clubs. Wherever I go, I’ll be happy.
“It’s my dream [to go to England]. I’ve spoken to many people who have the desire to play in the Premier League, because I think it’s the best in the world, more contested, and I want to have this challenge in my career.”
Chelsea have struggled for goals this season and a slow start to the campaign sees the Blues a considerable way off the pace currently.
