Former Wolverhampton Wanderers legend Steve Bull has challenged Sylvain Ebanks-Blake to make a name for himself next season.

With Steven Fletcher, a recent record £7million signing from Burnley and Kevin Doyle at the club, Bull wants to see the former Plymouth Argyle man to win a place in Mick McCarthy's side.

Speaking to reporters, Bull said:"He's got to get his head down now and say 'I want to be a £7m player'.

"He needs to dig in deep, get himself fit, have a great pre-season and come back sharper than he was when he finished the season. If he does that, he might force one of them out.

"After Andy Mutch was here, there were strikers such as David Kelly, Don Goodman and Robbie Keane here and I used to think 'they've got to force me out'.

"I tried to make sure I scored the goals to stay in the side."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
