Capello bemoans ‘worst’ ball

England coach Fabio Capello has branded the controversial World Cup ball the 'worst he has ever seen'.

Capello has added his voice to the chorus of disapproval surrounding the Jabulani ball, which has been criticised by players and managers since they the majority started working with it in during pre-tournament training camps.

Players in the German Bundesliga arrived in South Africa with experience of using the adidas ball.

However, as the Premier League has a deal with rival manufacturer Nike to supply its balls, the England players only came into contact with it during their training camp in Austria.

"This is the worst ball that I have seen in my life," said Capello ahead of England's vital Group C game against Algeria in Cape Town on Friday.

"It is terrible for the players. It is terrible for the keepers because it is impossible to follow the trajectory.

"When you try to switch the ball with long passes it is really difficult to understand where it is going to go.

"But the really big problem is that sometimes this ball is impossible to control."
