Fabio Capello has picked a youthful squad for the upcoming friendlies against Spain and Sweden, with two new faces in the England squad.

Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell and Chelsea attacker Daniel Sturridge have been included in the senior squad for the first time after both impressing this term so far.

Aston Villa forward Gabriel Agbonlahor has also been recalled, being preferred to out-of-sorts Liverpool striker Andy Carroll.

Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand both miss out, whilst Micah Richards is also absent.

John Terry has been picked as expected, despite the ongoing racism claims against the Stamford Bridge stalwart. The Telegraph indicate however that the veteran defender will not play against Spain, and that club team-mate Frank Lampard will skipper the side against the world champions.
