Cardiff boss wants transfer favour from Man United

Cardiff City boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hoping to secure a loan move for Manchester United winger Wilfied Zaha this month, according to the Daily Mirror.

Solskjaer has sufficient funds to expand his Cardiff squad that won away at Newcastle in the FA Cup yesterday in his first game in charge.

The former Manchester United striker is hoping for a favour from his former employers as he looks to keep Cardiff in the Premier League and maybe even have a cup run.

Zaha has failed to make any impact at Old Trafford since signing a year ago, albeit six months of that was on loan at Crystal Palace.

David Moyes clearly doesn’t want to use the Londoner who has made just two league appearances so far, all but cancelling his chances of going to the World Cup in the summer.

Numerous clubs want to take the tricky winger on loan and so Cardiff will have to battle with the likes of Newcastle, Palace, West Ham and Stoke but Solskjaer may fancy his chances with his contacts inside Old Trafford.
