Cardiff City have secured the services of Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey on a one-month loan deal.

The 20-year-old Welshman began his career at the Championship outfit, and the move back to Wales should provide him with valuable match fitness as he battles back from a broken leg suffered at Stoke in February.

"Following comments made by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger on Friday, Cardiff City are pleased to confirm that an agreement has been reached between clubs to see Aaron Ramsey rejoin the Bluebirds on loan," a Cardiff statement read.

"The loan agreement is set to run until 26 February and includes our Championship match against Hull City (on February 26)."

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger said match practice was a crucial aspect of Ramsey's return to full fitness.

"I don't want him to go to a Premier League club because I want him to finish the season with us. I just look for competition for him," Wenger said on Friday.
