Carlo Ancelotti has warned Chelsea they cannot afford to rest on their laurels if they are to match the success of last season.
The Italian led the Stamford Bridge club to a Premier League and FA Cup Double in his first season in English football.
He has also seen them make a scintillating start to the new campaign after scoring 14 goals without reply in an unbeaten three-game run.
But despite confidence being sky high ahead of Saturday's trip to West Ham United, Ancelotti insists there is still room for improvement.
"In football there are a lot of things, a lot of details that you can always improve," he explained.
"Every experience can give you the possibility to improve. I had good experience before I came here and now I think I improved with this experience."
Meanwhile, Ancelotti claims he now has a 'close' relationship with his players following a season in the hot-seat.
He added:"There are not a lot of differences between Italy and England, but I think the English players have a stronger mentality, they like to work very hard on the pitch every day.
"Now after one year my relationship with the players is very close, so they can understand me very well and I can understand them very well.
"If you shout all the time they do not listen."
