Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho believes he is back to his best after being managed correctly this season.
Carvalho, 31, is set to return to the starting line-up for Saturday's Premier League meeting with Manchester City after being rested against Blackburn Rovers in the midweek Carling Cup quarter-final.
The Portugal international has already started the same number of league games as least season when he was troubled by a string of niggling injuries and Carvalho claims he is feeling the benefit of a more structured approach to first-team appearances under coach Carlo Ancelotti.
"I am doing good. After last year I have been working hard and I am feeling fit," he told the club's official website.
"I'm happy to be helping the team again, which is important. Sometimes when we had too many games they wanted to rest me, but I want to play every game.
"That's when I am happy but I understand that they want to monitor it and manage it.
"I am feeling okay though, physically I am strong and not worried.
"Last year I was not fit and in that time I had some problems but when I feel fit like now there are no worries."
