Cesc Fabregas has called for more respect for Arsenal after dismissing the latest reports linking him with a return to Barcelona.
Fabregas, who left Barca as a teenager in 2003 to join the Gunners, was reported in Spain to have agreed a deal to rejoin his former club next season.
However, the Spain midfielder has attempted to draw a line under the long-running saga by rubbishing the latest claims which he says are disrespectful to the Gunners.
Speaking after Wednesday's 1-0 win over Liverpool, the Arsenal captain Sky Sports:"They have denied it, I have denied it. I just want to focus on Arsenal.
"I think Arsenal Football Club is above everything, every single player in its history and their fans and the club and myself.
"I think we deserve a little bit more respect."
Asked whether there was any truth in the reports at the end of the match, a similarly dismissive Gunners boss Arsene Wenger declared: "Nothing plus nothing is nothing."
