The Morocco international striker has had to watch from the sidelines as Arsene Wenger has chosen Robin van Persie and Gervinho as his first choice strike partnership, with Chamakh only starting one Premier League game this season.
The attacker has admitted that he wants to play more regularly, and may be forced to look elsewhere if his situation does not change in the near future.
“I am 27 and I need to play. I cannot stay like this forever. I won’t leave in January but I will take an important decision in June,” he told The Daily Mail.
“I was surprised by the offers I got last summer but my priority was to stay at Arsenal. A return to France? If so, it will be to Bordeaux,” he concluded.
Chamakh signed for The Gunners back in August 2010 after seven years with Bordeaux, but has failed to make an impression on the Emirates Stadium faithful.
