Chelsea have been alerted amid speculation that Real Madrid have stepped up their chase to sign N’Golo Kante from Leicester City, Express reports.
The 25-year-old has been on sensational form for his side this season as they top the Premier League with only six matches left to be played.
He has also attracted interest from Arsenal in recent months, with manager Claudio Ranieri even admitting that he won’t force the midfielder to remain at the King Power Stadium against his will.
“I think he should rest [stay] here, he’s working very well,” he said.
“But if big teams arrive that will give us a lot of money, maybe we can think about it if he’s not happy here and wants to go.
“I don’t want sad people here – I want my players to be happy.”
Real are said to be keen on his services as a holding midfielder in order to provide Luka Modric with more freedom to attack.
Leicester are ahead of second place Tottenham Hotspur by seven points, but are not under any pressure given that they were tipped for the relegation battle at the start of the campaign.
Kante has already featured 34 times in all competitions for his side this term, so far managing to score one goal while providing another three assists.
