Chelsea and Liverpool have both expressed an interest in signing Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko this summer, according to L’equipe.
Having made a number of comments suggesting that he will be looking to leave the recently-relegated Magpies this summer, it is no surprise that some of the wealthier Premier League clubs are sniffing around the French international who is linked to Hamburg in the same report.
Rafa Benitez might be a factor in a number of Newcastle players wanting to remain in the North east, but Sissoko, who has continued to show plenty of ambition, will surely be on his way to another club.
Chelsea and Liverpool are both looking to make early moves in the transfer market, but it would be likely that they would have to wait on this one whilst Sissoko is at Euro 2016 with the France squad.
The fee is likely to be around £8.5 million although that could rise if a bidding war began.
