Chelsea and Manchester United looks set to miss out on the January signing of Marko Grujic after Red Star Belgrade ruled out his sale, Express reports.
The 19-year-old was tipped to complete a switch to the Premier League after he admitted that talks were ongoing with both interested sides.
Despite heavy links of a transfer, his club came out to reveal that Grujic will not be sold until at least the summer as his is currently regarded as a vital member of their squad.
“Grujic is one of our best players,” he said.
“He can’t leave the club before August, or in any case not before the end of the season.“
He extended his contract until 2018 earlier this year, but is expected to leave given heavy interest from a number of top sides in throughout Europe.
Apart from the two mentioned teams, Everton and Inter Milan are also said to be monitoring the situation of the player.
The Serbian central midfielder has featured 18 times in all competitions so far this term, scoring four goals while providing another five assists.
