Chelsea and Man United target to open talks over King Power stay

Chelsea and Manchester United looks to have been halted in their chase to sign Jamie Vardy after he is set to open contract talks with Leicester City, Express reports.

The 28-year-old is now leading the Premier League goal scoring charts with 14 goals in as many games following a very impressive start to the current campaign.

He also recently broke the league’s goal scoring record when he managed to score in 11 consecutive fixtures and can continue the run even further when his side take on Swansea City this weekend.

Both the Blues along with United are now being linked with the services of the forward who is believed to be valued at around the £20million region by his club.

However, the Foxes are ready to ensure that he snubs an exit by preparing to open talks with Vardy over a new contract given that he recently revealed his intentions to remain at the King Power Stadium.
