Real Madrid will allow Cristiano Ronaldo to leave the club if they receive the £80million they used to sign him from Manchester United back in 2008, according to reports from the Sun.
And the news of the Portugal international’s price tag will alert the English duo, while Ronaldo himself insisted that he will finish his career in a top league rather than go to the MLS or Qatar.
The Blues, currently champions of England, have had a miserable campaign so far and club owner Roman Abramovich is looking to sign Ronaldo to reinvigorate the squad.
Ronaldo has also revealed that he is open to working under Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho once again in the future, boosting the Blues’ chances of luring over the 30-year-old.
The ex-Sporting Lisbon attacker has made 15 appearances in all competitions this season, already scoring 13 goals.
