Manchester United and Chelsea are said to be battling it out to try and sign Leicester City wonderkid Hamza Choudhury, who is not under a professional contract with his club, Express reports.
The 16-year-old midfielder has been very impressive for his side and has even caught the attentions of La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona, who are both also rumoured to be tracking the starlet.
Apart from club interests, he has also caught the eye of the England Under-18 manager Neil Dewsnip and is now currently on the short-list to be part of the national set-up as well.
The fact that Choudhury hasn’t signed a professional contract with Leicester gives both United and the Blues the easy task of just paying a minimum fee to lure him to their respective teams and hopefully complete a deal with them instead.
However, Nigel Pearson sees the youngster as a future prospect for his plans and is currently doing all he can to ensure he that he remains at the King Power Stadium and signs his first contract.
