Mourinho came onto the pitch to confront referee Chris Foy after Ramires was sent off for a petulant lunge in the dying seconds the game at Villa Park.
Foy had earlier sent off Blues midfielder Willian, a decision that changed the game with Villa going on to snatch a 1-0 victory to dent Chelsea’s title chances.
Mourinho could face punishment from the FA over his actions, however the Chelsea boss is still confused as to why he was sent off.
“I don’t know [why I was sent off],” Mourinho said.
“If it was because I was a few metres on the pitch I think there should be a minimum of ten sending offs because everyone was on there.
“[There] was me, my assistants, there was Paul Lambert, the assistants from Aston Villa.
“There were players from the bench from Aston Villa but it was Agbonlahor who was aggressive towards Ramires on the pitch.”
