Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is confident that his side will be crowned Premier League champions this season after a hard fought 3-2 victory over Hull City on Sunday, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
His side are already six points clear of second place Manchester City and still have another game in hand – against Leicester City – over their title-chasing rivals.
This means they could go nine points clear with less than 10 league games remaining before the season comes to a close.
Mourinho admitted that he was pretty confident that his side will go all the way despite having a few difficult games remaining in their fixture list.
“I’m not pretty sure, I’m pretty confident. I believe in my players, I believe that we can do it but I know it’s difficult,” he said.
“I keep thinking the same, the title race should be over. In normal conditions, Chelsea should have eight, 10, 12 points more than we have; title race over.”
Out of their last nine games, the Blues still have matches against Manchester United, Arsenal, as well as Liverpool.
In addition to that, an exit from the Champions League at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain a little more than a week ago means they can completely focus on winning all their remaining league fixtures.
