Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly made contact with Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos, who is bothered by the La Liga giant’s latest contract offer, according to the Express.
Despite being angered by Real’s reduction in his wages, Ramos is still keen to stay with the European champions amid interest from former boss Jose Mourinho.
The Spain international was so bothered he sought advice from ex-Real Madrid director Arrigo Sacchi.
“You have to stay where you are,” the Italian claimed to tell Ramos.
“Look at Shevchenko and Kaka, who left solid situations for greater salary, and it cut short their careers. You’re in the right place at Madrid, so you should stay.”
Real boss Carlo Ancelotti is also adamant the 28-year-old will remain at the Santiago Bernabeu, and that he will shortly come to an agreement over his contact.
He said: “I know the club wants to renew the contract and that Sergio wants to stay.
“Everyone has their own opinions and they are free to express them.”
Ramos is currently in his tenth season with Real Madrid since his move from Sevilla back in the summer of 2005.
