Guus Hiddink has encouraged Chelsea players to play with a smile on their face, reports the Daily Mail.
Hiddink refused to comment on the methods of Jose Mourinho, but continued to urge his players to play with joy if they want to build on the Dutchman’s 100% FA Cup record.
The Dutchman made a reference to drinking pina coladas as he tried to dis-spell the notion of being ‘relaxed’ and spoke of the need to treat each player differently. Hiddink’s refusal to talk of Mourinho’s methods could suggest some bitterness between the two, but the Dutchman insisted he wanted to focus on the future when he arrived.
The Blues face Manchester City in the FA Cup tomorrow and the Premier League Champions are unbeaten domestically since Hiddink replaced Mourinho before Christmas. Chelsea have lost their last two FA Cup clashes with Manchester City and have met the 2014 champions in three of the last four seasons in this competition.
