Chelsea star John Terry is now a sudden target for Fenerbahce after the club captain was subbed off by manager Jose Mourinho in their 3-0 loss to Manchester City, according to reports from the Express.
Terry played every single minute of last season’s title-winning campaign for the Blues, but after just 45 minutes the 34-year-old was yanked off by Mourinho after the former England international’s dismal performance.
The centre-back was clearly unhappy, which has now seen him linked with a move to the Turkish Super Lig.
Fenerbahce have already signed two Premier League players in Robin van Persie and Nani from Manchester United earlier this summer, and hopes to bring Terry before the end of the transfer window.
If their £2.5million bid is rejected, Fenerbahce will only have to wait a year until Terry’s contract expires and he could move for free.
Terry has spent his entire professional career at Stamford Bridge apart from a loan spell at Nottingham Forest back in 2000, winning four Premier League titles, five FA Cups, one Europa League title, and one Champions League trophy.
