Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is believed to have given the green light for the club to sign Everton’s John Stones as well as Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann, Daily Star reports.
The pair are likely to cost around the £56million region, with Stones currently valued at £35million while the Blues are willing to spend about £21million for the services of Griezmann.
With manager Jose Mourinho very keen on luring the 21-year-old Toffees defender to Stamford Bridge, the club are set to table a huge offer to finally land the player after seeing two previous bids rejected.
Apart from their back line, the Portuguese boss is also said to be ready to reinforce his attacking options with the addition of the 24-year-old Atletico forward.
He is also considering a £14million offer which would see January flop signing Juan Cuadrado move to the La Liga side on loan as part of the deal for the remainder of the campaign.
The current Premier League champions are yet to register their first win as they took a point in a 2-2 draw with Swansea City while suffering a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester City at the weekend.
