Chelsea are close to completing their first signing this month with the capture of Alex Teixeira from Shakhtar Donetsk, according to reports from the Express.
Teixeira was heavily linked with a move away from the Ukranian giants in recent weeks, with Serie A champions Juventus also previously keen on his signature.
However, the Brazil international gave a verbal agreement to join the Blues when the transfer window reopened, and the London club could finally seal the deal in the coming weeks.
It is expected that Teixeira will cost around £30million and he will sign a five-year contract that will keep him at Stamford Bridge till 2021.
Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink will still be looking to add reinforcements this summer, with the Dutchman recently revealing that he is in need of bringing in a striker amid injury concerns surrounding Diego Costa and Loic Remy.
Teixeira, 28, has made 26 appearances in all competitions this term, scoring 26 goals.
