Chelsea are confident Antonio Conte will stay at Stamford Bridge and rebuff the advances of Inter Milan, The Daily Mail reports.

What's the word?

Chelsea are confident Antonio Conte will stay at Stamford Bridge beyond the summer and snub the advances of Inter Milan- with Italian media stating the San Siro side are extremely keen to bring the Italian back to his home nation.

Those reports cited Conte as being unhappy in London and clashing with Roman Abramovich but reports from The Daily Mail suggest that isn't the case, with Conte's family set to move to London to join him in the English capital.

Conte's wife, Elisabetta, and daughter, Vittoria, will move to London in the summer and were in attendance for Chelsea's 3-1 victory over Swansea City at the weekend, whilst it's added Conte is still on good terms with Abramovich.

Could it have ever happened?

In truth, it was always difficult to see Antonio Conte moving to Inter Milan. The scenario of him being homesick and having fallen out with Roman Abramovich may have made sense but moving to Inter was always unlikely.

Conte is heralded as a legend in Juventus following successful stints as a player and a manager, which would have raised questions if he was to move to Inter- as the rivalry between the two Italian giants has grown tremendously since the Calciopoli scandal a decade ago.

If Conte was to return to Italy, it would be more likely he would rejoin Juventus if Massimiliano Allegri moves to Arsenal. However, Conte won't be going anywhere.
