Chelsea could face Arsenal without a striker after injury blow

Chelsea are facing a striker crisis ahead of their clash against Arsenal this weekend, with Didier Drogba the latest to sustain an injury, according to reports from the Express.

Drogba was unable to feature in a charity ‘Match against Poverty’ in France due to an ankle problem following 90 minutes against Manchester United on Saturday.

The Ivorian also played the whole game against Queens Park Rangers the previous week, and is now a doubt for the London derby against Arsenal at the Emirates.

This is set to cause Blues manager Jose Mourinho a selection headache, as top scorer Diego Costa and second choice Loic Remy are both still recovering from their respective injuries.

Costa has been struggling with a damaged hamstring and is expected to be sidelined at least another ten days, while Remy is undergoing intense training in the hopes that he will be fit for before Sunday.

Chelsea are currently ten points ahead of second place Arsenal with only six games left for both teams in the Premier League campaign.
