Former Chelsea cult hero David Luiz has urged Diego Costa to join him at Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports from the Mirror.
Costa has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this past season, especially after falling out with former manager Jose Mourinho back in November amid his struggling form.
But after Mourinho’s sacking, the Spain international found his groove once again by scoring five goals in his last five games, with his latest strike helping the Blues earn a 3-3 draw against Everton this past weekend.
However, PSG centre-back Luiz, who left Chelsea back in the summer of 2014 in a massive £50million deal, has urged the ex-Atletico Madrid hitman to join him at the Parc des Princes if he decides to leave the English champions.
“Diego is one of the most clinical strikers in Europe, he would be a welcome addition to any team.
“I think PSG have made their intent clear over the last three or four seasons, that we only add the best player.
“If Diego decides he has had enough of England and wants a new challenge, of course he would be welcome here.
“Diego and myself have had our clashes on the field, but you must understand there are two Diego’s.
“On the field he is physical, he is confrontational, he will get in your face, that is part of his game.
“Off the field he is a good friend, one of the nicest guys you can meet, somebody I would go to dinner with.”
The two stars will meet on the field when PSG and Chelsea face each other in the Champions League round of sixteen next month, with the French club hosting the first leg.
