Chelsea are thought to have entered the race to sign prodigious Partizan Belgrade prospect Lazar Markovic, according to The Daily Mail.
The 18-year-old is an attacking midfielder with a good range of passing and excellent creativity, who has been monitored by Liverpool and Tottenham in the past.
However, former Blues boss Avram Grant, who now manages Partizan, has recommended the youngster to the Stamford Bridge club.
Markovic made his full debut for Serbia back in February and is already being touted as a future star of the game.
However, the eastern European outfit are holding out for £16 million if the prospect is to move to the Premier League, and would also ideally want Markovic to be loaned back to them in the short-term.
