Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel is set to leave the club this summer, with All Nigeria Soccer stating that the African battler is being lined up with a switch to Spanish side Valencia.
The 29-year-old has been on the West London club’s books for a decade and has been in and out of the Blues side in that time.
With Chelsea suffering a dramatic fall from grace this season and the arrival of new manager Antonio Conte impending, a big change in the playing squad is expected in the summer.
Mikel is one of those being tipped to leave Stamford Bridge, with the Mestalla outfit keen to bring him to Spain.
The report suggests that Valencia have tried to sign the Nigeria international in the past and will revisit their interest upon the news that the former Lyn midfielder is set to be available for transfer at the end of the current campaign.
