Chelsea are said to be in talks with the agent and father of Arsenal target Giannelli Imbula despite failing to sign him in the summer, according to reports from the Metro.
The 23-year-old Porto star was targeted by the two mentioned clubs during the recent window, with Tottenham Hotspur also keen on luring the midfielder to White Hart Lane.
Despite the three Premier League giants monitoring his services, he instead decided to join Porto from Ligue 1 side Marseille for a fee around the £14.7million region.
However, he seems to have caught the eye of Blues boss Jose Mourinho following his performance in the 2-1 Champions League victory over the current English champions back on Tuesday.
French media outlet L’Equipe has claimed that Imbula is feeling unsettled in Portugal and may consider an exit.
He featured 39 times in all competitions for his now former side last term, scoring a total of three goals while providing a further three assists.
