Chelsea join Arsenal in race for in-form Premier League striker

Chelsea have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Watford striker Odion Ighalo, according to reports from the Mirror.

Ighalo has been heavily linked with a move away from Vicarage Road in recent weeks after a brilliant start to the campaign, in which he has scored 13 goals in 23 games for the Hornets.

And the Blues have joined the Gunners in the chase for his services, with interim manager Guus Hiddink having already revealed that he aims to bring in another centre-forward to boost his options.

However, the Premier League duo will need to fend off interest from European giants Atletico Madrid, who are also keen on the Nigeria international.

But despite all the speculation, Ighalo has reaffirmed his desire to remain with Watford for the remainder of the campaign, yet has left the door open regarding a summer move by admitting that it would be a dream to play for a club like Manchester United.
