Chelsea have entered the race to sign Liverpool target Radamel Falcao, currently on loan from Monaco at Manchester United, according to reports from the Metro.
The 29-year-old has been struggling to perform this season, often being used as a late substitute by manager Louis van Gaal.
Having joined on a season long loan deal from the French outfit, Falcao is set to return to his parent club, but is likely to be sold elsewhere.
Due to his poor performances over the course of the campaign, his price tag is expected to drop significantly, attracting interest from both the Blues as well as the Reds.
The Anfield side are close to making a £25.1million offer in order to lure him to the club, but manager Jose Mourinho is likely to fund a move for another striker.
Despite recently scoring a number of goals when he represented the Colombia national team, the forward has only netted four in his previous 25 appearances for the Red Devils.
