Chelsea have joined Manchester City in the race to sign Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola at the end of the current campaign, Daily Star reports.
The former Barcelona boss has been heavily linked with a switch to the Premier League, with City said to be favourites to his signature.
However, after the sacking of former Blues boss Jose Mourinho, Guardiola is now being eyed by owner Roman Abramovich as a top candidate to take over the reins at the club.
Guus Hiddink has been made interim manager until the end of the season as the current Premier League champions are likely to step up their chase for the Spaniard.
Apart from links with the two mentioned clubs, he has also been tipped with a job at Arsenal and is even being lined up as a replacement to Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal.
Should Chelsea fail in their attempts to land Guardiola, who has already agreed to leave Bayern next summer, they are also monitoring the situation of Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone as another alternative.
