Chelsea have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Southampton star Sadio Mane, according to reports from the Mirror.
Mane was heavily linked with a move away from the St. Mary’s during the summer, with Man United extremely keen on the Senegal international.
However, the Red Devils’ interest came late in the transfer window after their earlier attempts to sign Barcelona star Pedro, who joined Chelsea instead.
And now the Blues are looking to steal United’s target once again with their interest in Mane.
The current Premier League champions have struggled this season, but are hoping to turn things around by bringing in reinforcements during January.
Star striker Diego Costa has only managed to score three league goals so far, making manager Jose Mourinho look to Mane to add some firepower into their attack.
Mane has made 17 appearances in all competitions this term, scoring six goals and providing six assists.
