Chelsea manager-in-waiting Antonio Conte has one eye on former Stoke City midfielder Steven N’Zonzi according to The Sun.
The Italian trainer will take over at Stamford Bridge at the culmination of this summer’s Euro 2016 tournament in France, where he will lead the Azzurri into the competition before stepping away from the national side.
N’Zonzi left the Britannia Stadium last summer to join Sevilla and played a role in the Spaniards winning the Europa League in 2015-16.
The bruising midfield enforcer has been in the press of late, as he is being touted as a potential replacement for N’golo Kante should the France international leave Leicester City this summer.
Chelsea seemingly need to reinforce the centre of their midfield and have also been linked with a move for Roma star Radja Nainggolan.
N’Zonzi is not an automatic starter for Unai Emery’s men but has added strength in depth to the impressive Spanish outfit.
