Chelsea are planning to make a move to sign Aston Villa wonderkid Jack Grealish after learning that his contract negotiations were put on hold, Daily Star reports.
The 18-year-old winger has been scouted by the Blues over an extended period with the club prepared to make a formal offer in bids to lure him to Stamford Bridge.
Grealish was a product of the youth academy at Villa and is currently rated as one of the most promising youngsters in the country after being noticed when he was on the first team bench back on March 2012 at the age of 16.
He was then loaned out to Notts County where he made a huge impact in League Two before he was handed his senior debut against Manchester City last season.
The Ireland under-21 star is yet to choose his senior international squad as he could still decide to play for England due to the fact that he was born in Birmingham but has Irish ties as well.
His contract expires next summer as Villa need to put pen to paper as soon as they can or risk Jose Mourinho’s side stepping in and luring him away with a big money deal.
