Chelsea make inquiries for Serie A duo

Chelsea have made inquiries for two new centre-halves, with The Daily Mail claiming that the Blues are ready to move on Kostas Manolas and Kalidou Koulibaly.

The West London outfit are ready to welcome Antonio Conte as their new manager after Euro 2016, with the Italy boss expected to sign a number of new faces from Serie A.

With John Terry ageing and Kurt Zouma currently recovering from a serious injury, Chelsea are set to sign at least one central defender this summer ahead of 2016-17.

Manolas is a Greece international who has become a cornerstone of an impressive Roma side, with Arsenal also linked with the enforcer.

Koulibaly has been a consistent force for Napoli since moving to San Paolo from Genk and has also been linked with a move to the Premier League over the last six months.

Chelsea have courted Everton’s John Stones over recent transfer windows but are being touted with looking at other options.
