Chelsea managerial target Jorge Sampaoli has cooled speculation over a potential switch to take over at Stamford Bridge, Mirror reports.
The current Chile international manager has recently emerged as one of the many candidates linked with the vacant role at the club.
However, Sampaoli came out to admit that he is fully committed to his current role at the moment and will only reconsider his future after the elections for a new president of the Chile Football Association next month.
“My future depends on the elections for a new president [for the head of Chile’s football federation], on January 4,” he said.
“It depends on whether the new president likes our project.
“Before listening to offers, I will first present my new project for the Chile team. That is what I say to all the clubs who have contacted me.”
The Blues recently parted ways with former boss Jose Mourinho following a very disappointing start to their title defending campaign.
His former side suffered nine defeats under his management this term as they sit 15th on the Premier League table, three points away from the relegation zone.
