Chelsea ace Thorgan Hazard, brother of Premier League star Eden Hazard, has permanently left the Blues and signed for German outfit Borussia Monchengladbach, according to reports from the Daily Star.
Hazard joined Monchengladbach on loan at the beginning of the current campaign, but has now sealed a permanent switch to play in the Bundesliga.
The attacking midfielder was bought by Chelsea from Lens the same period his brother Eden made his £32million move from Lille, but Thorgan struggled to break into the first-team at Stamford Bridge.
The 21-year-old was therefore sent to two seasons on loan with Belgian club Zulte Waregem, where he developed into one of the league’s best players – winning the competition’s footballer of the year in the his second season.
And although Hazard has made his switch to Monchengladbach permanent, the Blues have inserted a buy-back clause into his contract, giving the London club the option to bring him back in the future.
