Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic is close to joining Monaco this summer as part of the deal to bring Radamel Falcao to Stamford Bridge, according to reports from the Express.
Falcao spent last season on loan at Manchester United, but the striker failed to adapt to the Premier League and struggled for regular playing time.
The Red Devils therefore decided to opt against signing the Colombian on a permanent basis, but the Blues are set to give him a second chance in England by also bringing him on loan.
But, the Ligue-1 side have demanded for Pasalic in return, with the Croatian now in France to undergo his medical.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is adamant that he can get Falcao back to his best after a disappointing campaign, revealing that he will do everything he can to help the 29-year-old.
“It hurts me that people in England think that the real Falcao is the one we saw at Manchester United,” Mourinho said last month.
“If I can help Falcao reach his level again, I will do it.”
The former Atletico Madrid star played 26 league games last season, but only managed to score four goals.
