Chelsea are looking to replace Eden Hazard with Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann this summer, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
Hazard has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge for much of the season, with the Belgium international struggling to replicate the form that won him the PFA Player of the Year accolade last term.
The attacking midfielder only managed to score his first goal of the campaign in the Blues’ 5-1 FA Cup win over MK Dons on Sunday, with reports speculating that Hazard could join either Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
With this in mind, reports claim the Blues are ready to replace Hazard with Atletico’s Griezmann, with a £60m bid being prepared by the Premier League champions.
Atletico were reluctant to let the France international leave due to their transfer embargo, but with the ban being suspended this summer amid an appeal, the La Liga giants could sell Griezmann in an attempt to recoup funds to strengthen elsewhere while being unable to participate in the next two transfer windows.
Griezmann, 24, has been brilliant for Atletico this season, scoring 19 goals in 31 games.
