Chelsea are said to be keeping an eye on Southampton target Stefano Sensi as they plot a possible move next summer, Metro reports.
The 20-year-old is currently playing for Italian Serie B side Cesena and is highly regarded, also attracting interest from Fiorentina and Roma as well.
Sensi is now being compared to Paris Saint-Germain and Italy star Marco Verratti and is said to be one of the best players in his division.
Tutto Mercato Web claimed that the Blues sent their scouts to monitor his displays with Cesena when they faced Bari at the weekend.
However, the midfielder is not expected to leave his club during the upcoming winter window, but could be open to a move when the current campaign comes to an end.
Manager Jose Mourinho is likely to be looking for ways to alter his squad given that the Premier League champions have been struggling to replicate their previous season form.
