Chelsea have received a blow in their chase for Bayern Munich star Arturo Vidal, with the midfielder insisting that he is very happy with the Bundesliga giants, according to reports from the London Evening Standard.
Vidal has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent weeks following the confirmation that Antonio Conte will be the Blues’ new manager at the start of next season.
The Italian boss is a huge fan of the Chile international during their time working together at Juventus, in which they won three consecutive Serie A titles from 2011-2014.
However, Vidal has come out to claim that he has no intentions of leaving Bayern in the summer, stating that he is very happy at the Allianz Arena as he aims to see out his contract and take care of his family.
“I am very happy here,” Vidal told BioBio. “I have to think about my family and I still have time on my contract.”
The 28-year-old signed for the German champions last year and has become an integral part of Pep Guardiola’s side with 39 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals.
