Chelsea have been boosted by news that Oscar will be travelling with the squad to face Leicester City despite only returning from a head injury, Daily Star reports.
The 23-year-old was forced off in the 0-0 draw with Arsenal at the weekend after a head collision with Gunners goalkeeper David Ospina.
To be safe, the Blues medical team sent the Brazilian midfielder to the hospital for scans to review the extent of the damage, and was fortunate that he has been given the all clear to play on Wednesday.
Manager Jose Mourinho revealed that Oscar took some time to rest and will be included in the travelling squad to face relegation battlers Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
“Oscar left the hospital and stayed at home last night. He should be here today. Everybody will travel to Leicester,” he said.
However, despite the return of the Brazil international, Mourinho is still unsure over the fitness of star striker Diego Costa, and may not take the gamble to include him into the squad too soon after only returning to training.
“I have to think about if it deserves a gamble or we wait a few more days to be really sure.”
