Chelsea are in pole position to sign Manchester United target Kenedy from Brazilian outfit Atletico Paranense, according to reports from the Metro.
The 19-year-old is being tipped to complete a move to Stamford Bridge following the arrival of Nathan earlier in the week.
Kenedy was strongly linked with Manchester United, but he recently admitted that he was keen on a switch to the Blues due to their Brazilian contingent.
“Of course, I am happy to play for Fluminense but it is my ambition to one day play in Europe,” he said.
“I like Chelsea because of players like Oscar and Ramires.”
It was even believed that United were in line to complete a move for the Brazilian starlet, but it seems that interest from the Premier League champions halted the deal.
However, the striker would eventually be loaned out for more playing time at another European club, something manager Jose Mourinho is known for doing.
