Chelsea attacker Andre Schurrle has confirmed that despite his limited playing time, he will not be forcing a club exit in January and is relishing the opportunity to win trophies this season, Daily Star reports.
The 24-year-old World Cup winner has been handed only four league starts this season as a number of clubs are believed to be targeting him in hopes of luring him away from Stamford Bridge.
He said: “Of course I can just laugh all the talk of leaving off. I am not going to change the club in the transfer window.
“I am happy where I am, I am happy in London. I love the city, I love the fans. We have a great team and want to win something this season.
“This is where I belong and where I want to help. I know what the manager wants for me and that he likes me.”
Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and Schalke are just some of the rumoured clubs keeping a close eye on the attacking midfielder, but may have been dealt a blow after hearing about his intentions to remain in London.
