Chelsea star Diego Costa saw the funny side of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger’s highly publicized push on his manager Jose Mourinho, Express reports.
Mourinho and Wenger had a touchline altercation after Blues defender Gary Cahill committed a hard challenge on Alexis Sanchez, but Costa has poked fun at the incident.
Asked about Mourinho’s reaction to being pushed after the match, Costa replied: “”He [Mou] was fine afterwards. I don’t think Wenger did any lasting damage!”
The pair will not be facing any subsequent punishments for their behaviour despite fourth official Jon Moss having to intervene during the confrontation.
On the other hand, Costa is extremely pleased to be playing alongside Cesc Fabregas for the club and for the Spain national squad.
Costa already has nine goals this season, with four of them being assisted by Fabregas and the former Atletico Madrid striker believes he can finally break his international goal drought in the two upcoming qualifiers.
“I am desperate to score here and I have said to Cesc that we have a good connection at Chelsea, that we understand each other very well, but now we have to have it here too,” he added.
