Chelsea star Didier Drogba is set to retire at the end of the season with the Blues close to signing HNK Rijeka striker Andrej Kramaric, Express reports.
The Blues legend returned to Stamford Bridge this past summer after he left the Blues following the club’s Champions League triumph over Bayern Munich back in 2012.
However the Ivory Coast international has found regular playing time hard to come by behind Diego Costa and Loic Remy, and is considering retirement after an illustrious career.
Drogba’s position will also be under threat from expected January signing Andrej Kramaric, with the young Croatian scoring an impressive 26 goals already this season.
However the 23-year-old is likely to be loaned out to Vitesse Arnhem till the end of the campaign, giving Drogba the opportunity to make his final mark for Chelsea.
The 36-year-old could make his announcement to retire in the coming weeks, and may take up a coaching role under Jose Mourinho.
